vExpert 2023 - Award

The VMware vExpert award recipients for 2023 have been announced and I’m pleased to say that I am on the list for the eighth consecutive year.

The vExpert award is VMware’s “global evangelism and advocacy program” and is awarded for one year. I’ve been a vExpert since 2016 and would thoroughly recommend anyone actively contributing to the vCommunity considers applying. This year has seen the bar to entry perhaps raised on previous years, so I’m even more honoured to have been accepted once again.

VMware celebrated it’s 25th anniversary this month, and the vExpert program has been going strong for over half that time. There are currently 1,300 vExperts, coming from 75 countries around the globe. 32 of those people have been there since the beginning, making this their 15th year, and at the other end of the scale nearly 10% of the recipients are new to the award.
